U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria Kenneth Merten arrived today in Burgas to hold America's Days in the seaside city and the 120th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

On the alley in front of the Sea Casino, residents and guests of Burgas will have the opportunity to see the documentary exhibition "120 years of Bulgarian-American diplomatic relations".

In 1903, the Bulgarian Prince Ferdinand accepted the credentials of John B. Jackson - US Minister Plenipotentiary for Greece, Romania and Serbia, who became the first US diplomatic agent for our country.

The anniversary will be marked by a series of events that will enable residents and guests to experience the culture and lifestyle of the United States. This exciting cultural program also marks the culmination of the U.S. Embassy's month-long campaign to strengthen ties between the United States and the important Black Sea region.
