German Chancellor Olaf Scholz condemned the latest Russian attacks on Ukraine in a telephone conversation with President Volodymyr Zelensky on May 30.

This was reported by the press service of the Federal Government of Germany.

During a conversation on May 30, Scholz and Zelensky exchanged views on the political, military and humanitarian situation in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader informed the German Chancellor about the consequences of the latest Russian strikes. Zelensky also thanked the German government for its military support, in particular, strengthening air defense.

At the same time, Scholz condemned the latest Russian attacks on Ukraine. The German Chancellor reaffirmed unwavering solidarity with Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.

Scholz assured that Germany would continue to support Ukraine, in particular in the military sphere, and would do so in close coordination with European and international partners.

To recap, the Russian occupiers attacked Kyiv and region on the night of May 30 with Shahed drones. Air defense forces managed to destroy more than 20 enemy drones. The wreckage of downed UAVs damaged residential buildings and cars both in the capital itself and in the region. As a result of the attack, one person was killed, seven more people were injured of varying degrees of severity.
