A 23-year-old man has been detained after being found driving after using drugs in Silistra, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior announced.

On May 30, at about 00:50, he drove an Opel car along Geno Cholakov Street in the Danube city and was stopped for a police check. With a technical device, it was found that he was behind the wheel after using amphetamine. He refused to give a blood sample and was detained for up to 24 hours.

The report shows that last year in the Silistra region were drawn up 226 acts for establishing an administrative violation against drivers who have consumed alcohol, 123 of which are for a concentration below 1.2 per mil and 103 - for a concentration above 1.2 per mil.
