Russian Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov noted an absurd statement, calling for "the annexation of the Kharkiv region to the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

Why do Russian politicians and propagandists "feed" their people with such statements, explained military analyst, Colonel Petro Chernik in an exclusive interview with TSN.ua.

"Propaganda must work. Any titanic power is held only when it is supported by its own population. Not otherwise. They continue to generate their own "beatings," says the expert.

"Whether they have the strength and means to fully shift the strike on the Kharkiv region, in my opinion, no. But at the same time, one should not underestimate the crazy, their human potential is still quite large, they also have a lot of small arms from Kalashnikov assault rifles to PPSh and PPS in warehouses. They can commit another desperate act of suicide. As Marcus Tullius Cicero said, "The greater the collapse of the empire, the more insane their actions." Therefore, anything can be expected from them," Chernik said.

Recall, the governor of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the permanent "cotton" in his region will decide "the accession of Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region to it."

In response, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov that Kharkiv residents perceive the Belgorod region exclusively as the "BNR". He also recalled that Belgorod was once part of Kharkiv region.
