The number of peacekeepers injured in the attack on NATO's Mission in Kosovo has been revealed.

The EPA reports that the Mission's press service has leaked information about the case.

It has been reported that on May 29, the number of peacekeepers injured in violence in the Zvecan region of Kosovo is 30. "In an attack on 11 soldiers from the Italian contingent and 19 from the Hungarian contingent, they suffered numerous injuries, including fractures and burns. Three Hungarian soldiers have been fired from firearms. Their injuries are not life-threatening."

The statement issued noted that the NATO-led KFOR mission has increased its presence in four northern Kosovo guidelines to reduce the risk of escalation.
"The commander of the KFOR Mission, Major-General Angelo Michel Ristuccia, personally monitors the situation and says he is aligned with NATO soldiers and their families injured in the clashes: "As a result of escalation to prevent conflicts between the parties and minimize the risk of attack, KFOR peacekeepers prevented the lives of Kosovo Serbs and Albanians. Both sides should take full responsibility for what happened and prevent tension rather than hide behind false news. "KFOR will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure a safe environment and freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo in accordance with the UN Security Council's mandate based on Resolution 1999 of 1244," the mission said in a statement.
