Several thousand years old sculptures found from Purana Qila during excavation

The excavation of the Archeology Department is going on in Delhi's Purana Fort. Many shocking things have been found in the excavation going on for the last several days. During the excavation in Purana Qila on Tuesday, traces of civilization of three thousand years ago have been found, which is now being prepared to be shown to the G20 countries. What are the traces of Pandav-era city Indraprastha found in the old fort? Many rare sculptures have been found

As excavations are getting deeper in the old fort of Delhi, the mystery of the gradual development of human civilization from Indraprastha city of Pandavperiod to today's Delhi is being revealed. Not only this, many such Shivlings have been found in which it was written in Brahmi script. Along with this, rare sculptures of Shunga period and Rajput period have also been found here.

Things from the Mahabharata period were also found.

Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Director Basant Swarnkar said the painted grey ware culture (PGW) sculptures were found at the site and are linked to Indraprastha of the Mahabharata period. According to famous archaeologist BB Lal, PGW was linked to Mahabharata. So in such a situation, we can say that the meeting of these things on this site connects it to the Mahabharata period.

Things related to the Mauryan period have also been found.

Archaeological excavations have been carried out at different times at many places in the old fort. This time, excavations at the second site of purana qila are showing traces of civilization from the Mughal period to the pre-Mauryan period. A terracotta ring well of the Mauryan period has also been found at this site. That is why now the Ministry of Culture is planning to show this site to the representatives of G20 countries. On Tuesday, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Culture himself visited and saw the things found here.

G Kishan Reddy (Union Minister, Ministry of Art and Culture) said that we have got a lot of things related to Mahabharata from the Indraprastha site. We will try that people from G20 countries also see it. Where things from Mughal period to Mauryan period have been found on the same site.
