A resident of a dormitory, which is located next to a high-rise building damaged by a Russian attack in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, spoke about the first minutes after the explosion. According to student Hanna, the blast wave blew out almost all the windows in the building.

This was reported by the correspondent of the site TSN.ua from the scene.

"It was very scary. I did not go to bed, planned to study. I now have a fourth year, diploma defense. I was just about to go to bed and the alarm went on. I could not sleep for a long time, but I did not go down to the shelter. Then my friend woke up from the first explosion. Our rule is the first explosion, we immediately go down to the shelter. Since I'm at work today, I decided that it was better to sleep," said Hanna.

According to the girl, they saw a bright flash and heard a very loud explosion. They immediately realized that the arrival had occurred in a nearby house or immediately outside the window, the student says.

"We started going down to the shelter and realized that our dormitory windows were completely broken on the stairs, in the kitchen. There was a lot of glass, even blood. As we came out of our shelter, to the parking lot under the house, we could see this fire. It was very scary," the girl said.

A resident of a private house, which is located a little further down the street, told TSN.ua that windows and doors also flew out of her neighbors, ceilings crumbled. Olga added that a loud explosion in the middle of the night scared the children.
