In this picture, Union Home Minister Amit Shah can be seen posing for a picture sitting on the chairs of the ruling party in the Lok Sabha chamber of the new Parliament building, while Smriti Irani, sitting in the same row behind him, makes a place in the picture with a smile.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament building in the morning and installed the historic 'Sengol' near the Speaker's seat in the Lok Sabha chamber.

In his first address to the new Parliament building, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said, "As India progresses, the new Parliament building will also contribute to the progress of the world..."

"Some moments of the country's development journey become immortal... Today is such a day... The new Parliament complex will see our resolve of 'developed India' being realised," he said.
