After a missile strike on their clinic, Dnipro veterinarians carried all their patients out of the burning facility. Then they kept animals that tried to escape and handed over to colleagues those who needed immediate treatment. Now they are dismantling the destroyed clinic and thanking those who are not indifferent who send donations from all over the country, TSN says.

A modern veterinary clinic turned into ashes after a Russian missile strike. "Loud explosion. Everything fell on us. It feels like you're inside a hurricane. A woman came with a puppy. Everything began to happen so unexpectedly. I didn't realize at first that I had survived. The earth shuddered and bricks, dust, chips fell on top. Flames," says veterinarian Vasyl Bondaruk.

He brought out of the clinic a woman with a puppy who miraculously survived, and rushed to help colleagues. Another surgeon was in surgery. "There was a surgical table, equipment that no longer exists. When I was able to get up, I realized that I was alive," adds colleague Anatoly Fedko.

At the time of the strike, Anatoly Fedko operated on a wounded dog, which was delivered in the morning by a soldier. The animal, which was under anesthesia, had to quickly carry outside. There, she was instantly taken away by veterinarians from another clinic and operated on. "Imagine how it feels! In the morning you arrive, bring a dog here, everything is fine. In the afternoon you arrive and see the place where you left your dog. And you see here! I reassured him, gave him contacts to the hospital. They're fine! I found out," says Vasyl Bondaruk.

The fire rapidly engulfed the clinic. Veterinarians tried to tame the flames with fire extinguishers and in vain. Meanwhile, animals were taken out of the hospital, a dozen four-legged animals were in cages and could be taught.

The clinic administrator was taking animals outside. Eyewitnesses filmed frightened four-legged trying to escape, so another test was to hold them back.

Veterinarians and patients were all saved, but 57-year-old Vadim Tishchenko, who was making repairs at the clinic, died. His body was found by rescuers hours after the impact. "Behind the hospital in the technical room, just in this place and a rocket hit, a fire started. The man is very calm, very hardworking, very much loved animals. A very big loss! We help relatives," says the head of the clinic Andriy Malyshko.

Andriy Malyshko opened a veterinary clinic three years ago. He built everything from scratch, bought modern equipment and, together with the team, rescued animals. After the Russian strike, everything was destroyed.

Daria Girman, who has repeatedly treated a dog here, says: she always felt attention and respect for animals. So I decided to help the veterinarians and collected 56 thousand hryvnias of donations within a day.

The owner says that he is touched by such support from colleagues and completely unfamiliar caring people.

Recall that the death toll increased to four due to a Russian missile strike on the Dnieper. On May 26, the enemy hit a medical facility and a veterinary clinic nearby.

32 people were injured, three were missing. Forensic scientists managed to identify all the bodies found. Kharkiv colleagues came to the rescue with a modern genetic analyzer. Thanks to him, it was possible to quickly conduct a DNA study of the remains. The analysis confirmed that the Russian strike claimed the life of a 57-year-old man who was doing chores at a veterinary clinic, as well as a 56-year-old doctor and a 64-year-old employee of a gutted medical facility. Also, a passerby was killed by debris.
