Kozhikode:

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said the inauguration of the new Parliament building was like a religious function which was "indecent" for our nation. Vijayan said such a government function should not have been organised like a religious event. He also said that President Draupadi Murmu should have been invited.

"What happened in Parliament today, the way it happened, like a religious function, not involving the President in it, is indecent for our nation," Vijayan said at a function organised in memory of former MP and late LJD leader M P Veerendra Kumar. He criticised it and termed it as a "black day" for Indian democracy.
