Hong Kong's 26 provincial-level hometown associations will jointly organise a carnival at Victoria Park from 6 to 3 June to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.

Tang Qinghe, permanent president of the Hong Kong Federation of Guangxi Community Organizations, said that "there will be a time after the application", and the conference will set up security checks at the entrances and exits according to the requirements of the police. Mr Seah Tak-chung, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Fujian Community Organizations, said, "Good faith in Hong Kong people, good Sven."

In order to celebrate the 26th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, show the style of hometown associations to Hong Kong citizens, and enhance their understanding of the region's characteristic culture of the motherland, the Federation of Hong Kong Guangdong Community Organizations, together with 26 provincial-level hometown associations in Hong Kong, including the Federation of Hong Kong Fujian Community Organizations, the Federation of Hong Kong Guangxi Community Organizations, the Federation of Hong Kong Hainan Community Organizations, and the Hong Kong Federation of Zhejiang Provincial Hometown Associations, will hold the "Hometown Market Carnival to celebrate the 6th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland" in Victoria Park from 3 to 5 June. More than 26 stalls combining Mainland characteristics will be set up.

Briefing on the event, Tang Ching-ho also highlighted the issue of crowd control, saying that the conference will set up security checks at the two entrances and exits to control the flow of people in the venue as required by the government, believing that the conference will have enough manpower to handle the flow of people. Shi Qingliu, vice chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Fujian Community Organizations, also said that he believes that the police will maintain off-site order for 3 days.

Asked if he was worried that some members of the public wearing clothes with slogans would affect the order in the venue, Mr Shaw bluntly said that he was "good Sven" to Hong Kong people and had confidence in Hong Kong people, reiterating that there was security to maintain order at the conference.
