Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky met with commanders of units performing tasks in the Liman direction and announced the transition to active offensive actions.

Syrsky announced this on the Web on May 29, publishing the corresponding video.

The Commander of the Ground Forces informed that in the Liman direction, Ukrainian units hold the occupied lines and positions. The defenders repel all enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Bilohorivka, Spirne, Novoselivske, Torske. The defense forces inflict significant losses on the occupiers.

Syrsky also noted that he had met with commanders of units and subdivisions performing tasks at the most "hot" points of the front. He discussed with the commanders possible scenarios for the development of events in the Liman direction and the current situation at the front.

"He noted that the time will soon come when we will move on to active offensive actions, identified specific tasks to prepare for them," the Commander of the Ground Forces stressed.

In addition, he awarded soldiers on the front line with the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, 54th Brigade, 81st Air Assault Brigade, 95th Air Assault Brigade, 92nd Mechanized Brigade.

Recall, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops on May 28 did not conduct offensive operations in the Liman direction, but inflicted air and artillery strikes in the areas of settlements of Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk regions. At the same time, in the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations northeast of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and in the direction of Ivanovske.
