On the night of May 29, Russia once again carried out a massive shelling of Kyiv. This is the 15th enemy air attack on the capital since the beginning of May. However, this time it was combined: the enemy used Shaheds and cruise missiles, hoping that our air defense would not be able to fight back.

In the afternoon of May 29, Russian invaders attacked Kyiv with missiles. Air defense worked in the city, and as a result of its work, fragments of downed enemy air targets fell in Podolsk and Obolonsky districts. Fires broke out there. There is a victim.

On the air of the telethon, military observer Oleksiy Hetman noted that such tactics did not surprise him.

He noted that the Russians made massive attacks exclusively by the Shaheds, now they have already carried out a combined attack with cruise missiles: "Why were there only Shaheds before? They wanted to check again the weaknesses of our air defense and exhaust it so that we ran out of ammunition and missiles for our anti-aircraft missile systems."

The Russians decided that after their most massive drone attack on May 28, when our air defense destroyed many targets, now it is not ready to repel missiles, Oleksiy Hetman believes: "Therefore, they launched missiles just in case in conjunction with the Shaheds. Once again, our air defense has shown that it is capable of shooting down all targets. It is not clear what the Russians' goal was for this attack, but they did not cause any damage."

The operational command "South" and the Ministry of Defense say that last night could be preparation for a more massive missile attack. The military observer noted that experts are well aware of why all this is being done.

According to him, firstly, the enemy is exhausting our air defense, and secondly, it is trying to look for ways for missiles to arrive using drones. "However, the missile can hide behind the folds of the terrain, fly along rivers and in other places where it is difficult to see," the expert said.

He suggested that it is likely that the Russians are preparing some kind of more or less serious attack: "Therefore, they are probing our defense and at the same time trying to exhaust it. Let them try. After Ramstein 12, when the decision was made, among other things, to accelerate and increase the supply of missiles for our air forces and anti-aircraft missile systems, I think that they will not succeed."

But the enemy instantly began to spend so many of its missiles and drones without any goal, so most likely this goal, the expert believes, is to prepare for some next more powerful strike.

Oleksiy Hetman added that our air defense is destroying more and more air targets, it is intensifying, besides, people are gaining a lot of experience: "We have also studied and understand the tactics used by the Russians and can counteract it."

We have our countertactics on their tactics, the military observer stressed. "Therefore, any air defense is not capable of intercepting 100 percent of air targets. But I think the number will increase. We are waiting for us to have aircraft, the same F-16s, because this is also part of the air defense. Because the main burden on air defense in NATO countries falls on aircraft, they intercept air targets, and anti-aircraft missile systems help them. So far, we mainly have air defense systems working," he concluded.

Recall that as a result of the enemy attack on May 29, Holosiivskyi, Podolsky and Svyatoshinsky districts of Kyiv were damaged.

Thus, in Podilskyi, debris fell on the roof of a one-story private house. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, where debris fell on the resettled building, rescuers liquidated. Fire.

Fortunately, there were no casualties.
