There is news of a terrible road accident in Karnataka. According to the information received, 10 people were killed in a collision between a car and a bus at Tanarsinghapura near Mysuru on Monday. The dead include 2 children. One person in the Innova car was seriously injured. He has been admitted to a nearby hospital. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.


The innova car was blown away in the collision of the bus. Ten people died on the spot. The corpses were trapped inside. Police have taken out the bodies with the help of locals and sent them for postmortem.


Earlier on Sunday, there was a fierce collision between a car and a lorry in Koppal district of Karnataka. Six people, including two children and a woman, were killed in the accident. The accident took place on the national highway near Kalkeri village, police said. All the deceased were residents of Vijayapura and were travelling in a car to Bengaluru while the lorry had left Tamil Nadu for Gujarat.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed grief over the accident and announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the kin of the deceased.
