The Regulations on military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be amended. In particular, military personnel will be appointed to positions with staffing categories that correspond to their actual military ranks.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

As noted, the changes will be clearly demarcated and regulated norms of service in peacetime and in a special period.

"Minimum and maximum terms of service and stay in military rank will be established. Appointments to senior positions will take place according to the rating principle," the Ministry of Defense says.

In addition, there will be a rotation of servicemen in relevant positions in order to gain the necessary experience. It is noteworthy that persons whose candidacies have twice been rejected from promotion will be recommended for dismissal.

"After the development, approval and consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of draft amendments to the "Regulations on military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine", it will be submitted to the Head of State for implementation by the Decree of the President of Ukraine.73410:07," the Ministry of Defense summed up.

It should be added that during mobilization in Ukraine, men aged 18 to 60 who received summonses and passed a medical examination must receive proper knowledge and training, as well as receive equipment before they are delivered to the military unit.
