In Bakhmut, the "Wagnerites" are replaced by airborne troops and motorized rifle units of the Russian Federation, which have participated in the war since February 24, 2022 and had significant losses, so they were restaffed with mobilized ones.
This was stated by the speaker of the Eastern group of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevatyi, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to Cherevaty, there is a rotation in Bakhmut due primarily to large losses of the criminal group "Wagner".
"They are forced to do it. Units of the invader's airborne troops and motorized rifle units come in. We know their names, we know their commanders and combat potential," Cherevatyi said.
He also said that all these units of the enemy army are mostly the second or third personnel of the occupiers.
"During this day, three clashes. The enemy, however, does not stop the combat defeat of our positions. During this day, with various types of barrel and rocket artillery, he inflicted 373 strikes, six air raids on our combat positions," Cherevatyi said.
He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine responded to the enemy with fire damage. 155 occupiers, two D-30 guns, an infantry fighting vehicle, an electronic warfare station, three cars and 6 field ammunition depots were destroyed.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces explained that the Ukrainian military is currently taking "reorganization measures and other measures of combat work."
"Now commanders, headquarters are doing everything to make further movements even more successful in terms of defeating the enemy," Cherevatyi added.
As a reminder, the "Wagnerites" withdraw their units from Bakhmut. A soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about the situation in the Bakhmut direction.
