"A rocket was shot down near Kiev. Air defense is working!" Klitschko wrote on his Telegram channel.

In his statement, Klitschko said blasts had been heard in several areas of Kiev, including the historic Podil district.

According to initial data from the mayor and the military administration, there were no injuries in the Russian attack. The Kiev military administration said more than 40 targets moving toward the capital, including drones and missiles, had been shot down by air defenses.

This morning's attack is the 15th on the Ukrainian capital since early May. On Sunday, Kiev was subjected to one of the largest Russian drone attacks since the beginning of the war, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky allegedly managed to repel it almost entirely.

It seems that today's attack was combined - with missiles and drones. Its scale is not yet known. According to eyewitnesses, several loud explosions were heard in the capital, and an air alert was issued throughout Ukraine in the morning.
