During the alarm, the American Patriot air defense system was working.

This was stated on the air of a telethon by the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yurii Ihnat.

According to Ignat, if Russian Iskander-M missiles were shot down in the capital, then we can conclude that the Patriot was working on these ballistic targets.

The spokesman of the Air Force noted that the invaders on May 29 fired up to 10 Iskanders of two types at Ukraine. He recalled that "Iskanders" are winged - "Iskander-K" and ballistic - "Iskander-M".

"These missiles were fired today. What quantity was there is about 10. Now it will be clarified. And, preliminarily, destroyed," he said.

Ihnat said that all routes have long been known to the occupiers. They want to complicate the work of Ukrainian air defense.

Now the invaders have begun to actively use guided aerial bombs and S-300.

"This is all due to the fact that there is a shortage of weapons, which, in particular, they launched tonight in Ukraine. These are cruise missiles, long-range, high-precision weapons, ballistic missiles – they do not have enough of this," Ihnat said.

In addition, the Russians are launching combined strikes.

However, the question remains how much they can afford to use scarce weapons now.

However, Ihnat added that our air defense works smoothly and effectively.

Recall, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi said that the air defense of Ukraine shot down all enemy targets - 11 ballistic missiles, which Russia fired for the second time in a day at Kyiv and the region.
