An event dedicated to May 28 Independence Day has been held in Belfast, Britain.
According to the EPA's British Bureau, Queen's University Belfast students organized an event entitled "European Yesterday to This Day," dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the Azerbaijani People's Republic. Students from various countries participated in the event and gained extensive information about Azerbaijan's history and today. The initiative began with the State Himni of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Later, Elin Solomonov, our country's ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, gave a video address to Azerbaijan's national history as well as to the history of Independence Day. The ambassador said that the Azerbaijani People's Republic, the first parliamentary republic of the East, has left an indelible mark on Azerbaijan's national history.
At the end of the campaign, the participants shared their positive thoughts about the ancient historical and cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people.
