The Russians carried out a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of May 28. Our state went through one of the largest Russian attacks by the Shaheds. Almost all of them were shot down. Unfortunately, there are hits in Zhytomyr region.

This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address on May 28.

"But still most of the destruction was prevented, most of the lives that these Shaheds could have taken were saved. I thank each and every one who provided this! Anti-aircraft missile forces and air force aviation, air defense of the Ground Forces and our mobile fire groups... Thank you, warriors!" said Zelensky.

During the terrorist attack on May 28, quantitatively the most powerful blow was directed against the Kyiv region.

"This is how Russia celebrates the Day of our ancient Kyiv... Throughout its history, Kyiv have seen various meanness from invaders. He survived them all – he will outlive the Rashists. None of them will be here," he said.

Recall that on the night of May 28, the Russians raided the capital with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. The enemy launched 59 Shahed UAVs across our country. 58 of them were destroyed. Experts noted that the cost of kamikaze drones used in Ukraine can be estimated at $ 10.5 million.
