On May 28, the Russians launched a massive missile strike on Kyiv. Meanwhile, at the front in recent days there has been a "lull" on the part of the Russian occupiers.

This was told in a comment to Channel 24 by Colonel of the Armed Forces in reserve, military expert and pilot-instructor Roman Svitan.

On the night of May 28, the most massive attack since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion was carried out with 54 drones on Kyiv, namely with "Shahed" barrage munitions. The air alarm in the capital lasted more than 5 hours. As a result of the impact, there is a victim.

Where does the enemy get so many kamikaze drones from?

Many have wondered where Russia got so many drones from. According to expert Svitan, Tehran began to receive Su-35 fighters from the Russian Federation. Therefore, Iran has to pay for them.

"One of such calculation mechanisms is the supply of "shaheds" in large, virtually unlimited quantities. The price ratio between the Shahed and the Su-35 is huge – $20,100 for a drone and about $<> million for an aircraft," Roman Svitan said.

The colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve emphasized that it is likely that the attack on May 28 took place in more than one wave. Thus, during the first wave, the enemy fired about 35 kamikaze drones:

"So, 7 launchers are working. It could have been up to 70 "Shaheds". Ours are talking about 54 drones, so something does not reach, something does not take into account," said the colonel of the Armed Forces in reserve.

The reasons for the "lull" at the front

While the enemy fires Ukraine drones every night, there is a decrease in activity at the front. According to the expert, this is due to the fact that in the near future the Russians do not plan offensive actions:

"The Russians are waiting for our counteroffensive. They have their own intelligence, they understand that breakthroughs will begin in some areas next week. Therefore, they are trying to switch to a deaf defense mode, and on the Donetsk front in particular," Roman Svitan said.

At the same time, as summed up by military expert and pilot-instructor Roman Svitan, the Vagenerovites who are being withdrawn from Bakhmut are located along the Azov coast.

Recall, Zelensky announced the details of the most powerful drone strike on Kyiv. Most of the lives that these "Shaheds" could take were saved.
