Around noon today, the names of the new governors and vice governors throughout the country began to be broadcast on social networks and official channels.

In Havana, Yanet Hernández Pérez was elected governor with just over 97 percent of the votes cast, while Jesús Otamendiz Campos will occupy the responsibility of vice governor.

In the province of Villa Clara, with the presidency of President Miguel Díaz-Canel, Alberto López Díaz was ratified in his position as governor. Yanet Sánchez Armas was also elected as lieutenant governor.

In the westernmost of the provinces, Pinar del Río, the deputy to the parliament, Eumelín González Sánchez, will assume as the new governor and Niurka Rodríguez will remain in her functions as vice governor.

Alexandre Corona Quintero and Yolexis Rodríguez Armada were ratified governor and vice governor of Cienfuegos, respectively, after the favorable vote of the delegates to the eight municipal assemblies who, this Sunday, were constituted in electoral colleges for that purpose.
