Kemal Kilicdaroglu, candidate of the opposition National Alliance and leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), voted in the second round of Turkey's presidential election.

Kilicdaroglu exercised his right to vote at Argentine Primary School in the Chukurambar district (in the central Cankaya district).

Dozens of journalists were waiting for him at the school, both local and foreign.

The CHP leader arrived at the school with his wife and Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavaş. Kilicdaroglu was welcomed by people gathered in the schoolyard, who chanted slogans in support of the CHP leader.

The opposition presidential candidate called on all citizens to participate in the elections so that Turkey "can free itself from authoritarianism."

"I call on every citizen to come to the polling stations and vote to free themselves from pressure, from authoritarian rule, so that this country can truly gain freedom," he said.
