(CNN) -- Asiana Airlines has suspended the sale of some emergency exit seats on A321-200 aircraft, the company said Sunday, following a recent incident in which a man opened the door of a mid-flight plane.

As of Sunday, Asiana Airlines suspended the sale of seat 26A of 11 A321-200 aircraft, which operate with 174 seats, and that of seat 31A of three A321-200 aircraft, which operate with 195 seats, the airline said in a statement.

"This measure is a safety precaution and applies even if the flight is complete," he added.

A man opened the emergency door of an Asiana Airlines plane just before it landed Friday afternoon. An airline official said a man in his 30s who was sitting in the emergency seat appeared to have opened the door.

A total of 200 people were on board, including 194 passengers, according to Asiana Airlines. The plane was identified on tracking website Flightradar 24 as an Airbus 321.
