New Yorker Christina Corniel left her nervous job in the office and traveled half the world.
Where she got the money for it, the woman told The Sun.
The dream job offer came as the 34-year-old left her nervous job in the human resources department.
Feeling unfulfilled, Kristina began to travel more.
"I started thinking about how I want to live my life. I thought about what I wanted most. I wanted more sunlight, more exercise, more time with family, more nature, more learning, more emotions, more growth, more fun, more freedom," she says.
In 2017, the woman traveled to Thailand and immediately met like-minded people.
Kristina travels a lot and feels happy
Thanks to her new contacts, she first found remote work as an online teacher.
But then she found a job that cut back on all her usual travel expenses – taking care of homes. The only caveat – it was necessary to additionally care for the pets of the owners.
Since taking on an additional role, she has lived for free in dozens of homes in California, Montreux, London and Texas.
And during a month-long trip to Switzerland, she was able to save 6,<> pounds by taking a foam bath, tasting cheese fondue and driving a luxury car.
The new job allowed the woman to reduce the usual travel costs
"I can stay in beautiful places and save. For me, this is a huge plus. Not only can you stay in beautiful houses, but you can also have more time for self-development and improvement... Being able to live for free as a local in Switzerland, one of the most expensive countries in the world, was definitely a highlight," she said.
Cristina has registered with websites like House Sitters America and MindMyHouse where she pays small membership fees.
However, the woman claims that the opportunity to rent free housing is worth the additional cost.
"All you do is feed their cats," she notes.
