Jabalpur: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has busted a terror module linked to the ISIS (ISIS) in a joint operation with the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Madhya Pradesh Police. In this case, 3 people have also been arrested from Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh). The arrests came after overnight raids at 26 locations in Jabalpur on May 27-13.

The three, identified as Syed Mamoor Ali, Mohammad Adil Khan and Mohammad Shahid, will be produced before a special NIA court in Bhopal today. A huge cache of sharp weapons, ammunition, incriminating documents and digital devices were also seized during the searches. The case was registered by the NIA on May 2022 while probing the pro-ISIS activities of Mohammad Adil Khan, who came to the agency's notice in August 24.

Investigation revealed that the three accused were radicalised and were trying to carry out violent jihad. They were trying to procure arms and ammunition for the purpose of collecting funds, spreading ISIS propaganda material, motivating and recruiting youth and carrying out terrorist activities. Syed Mamur Ali was also running a WhatsApp group by the name of 'Fisabillah'. He along with his accomplices was trying to procure the pistol and was in touch with an illegal arms supplier based in Jabalpur for the purpose.

According to the NIA investigation, Adil was also running several YouTube, Instagram and WhatsApp channels to motivate and recruit youths to join ISIS. The investigation further revealed that Shahid had also planned to buy weapons, including pistols.
