Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' will pay a four-day visit to India from May 31 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. Foreign Ministry sources here gave this information on Friday. This will be Prachanda's first foreign visit after assuming office for the third time in December last year.

Sources in the Ministry of External Affairs said the visit will take place from May 31 to May <> and the ministry will make a formal announcement on Saturday.

"The Ministry of External Affairs will formally announce the official visit of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda on Saturday. The visit will take place from May 31 to June <> and he will hold meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi besides holding other high-level meetings. "The preparations for the yatra are in the final stages," the official said.

Meanwhile, Nepal's Ambassador to India Shankar Prasad Sharma met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in New Delhi this week and discussed Prachanda's upcoming visit.
