The Maharashtra Temple Federation says that the dress code will be implemented soon in 300 temples of the state.

The process of implementing dress code has started in some temples of Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Temple Federation has implemented a dress code in four temples in Nagpur. The federation claims that this dress code has been implemented to maintain the sanctity of the temple. The Maharashtra Temple Federation believes that the dress code is applicable to many temples, gurudwaras, churches, mosques and other places of worship in the country. Therefore, if the temple is banned from wearing torn jeans, semi-naked clothes, skirts, provocative clothes, indecent clothes, then entry has been banned.

Despite this, if someone comes to the temple wearing such clothes, then they will be given a dupatta, lungi. After which they will be given admission. The federation has said that publicity will be done in this regard and soon clothes like dress code, torn jeans, skirts will be banned in 300 temples of Maharashtra. At present, this guideline has been issued considering the words of Dhantoli Shri Gopal Krishna Temple, Shri Sankat Mochan Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple Belori, Jupiter Temple Kanoli Bara, Durga Mandir Hilltop Maharashtra Temple Mahasangh in Nagpur.
