The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said that the information in the media that the Chinese envoy Li Hui during a visit to European countries proposed to resolve the war in Ukraine by transferring part of the territory to Russia does not correspond to reality.

The minister said this during his address on Facebook.

The minister said that after such information appeared in the media, he contacted his European counterparts in the countries visited by Li Hui, and no one confirmed that such proposals had taken place.

"None of them confirms that negotiations were voiced or conducted to recognize for Russia the territories in which Russia is now in Ukraine. I urge you to keep a cool mind, common sense, do not react emotionally to every post. We control the process, no one behind Ukraine's back will do anything against us," the minister said.

The minister said that Kyiv will continue the dialogue with Beijing, but it will be based on three principles - mutual respect for territorial integrity, Ukraine will not consider any proposals providing for territorial concessions, no frozen conflict.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that China's special envoy Li Hui during visits to European capitals for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine called for Russia to leave the occupied territories of Ukraine and immediately cease hostilities.
