Ukrainian pilots mastering F-16 fighters may take less than planned time, as the military has already shown incredible results before, reducing the already short training time on other systems.

This was told to Channel 24 by the spokesman of the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat.

"Our pilots at the start, in order to go to those sites that will be provided by different countries, it is not necessary that they have F-16s in service, they are ready to train, because there are different types of training," Ihnat said.

According to the assessment of the US military, Ukrainian pilots will need less than six months to master fighters, in four months pilots will be able to master this technique.

"Therefore, we expect their return as soon as possible. Americans and Europeans were impressed by the training of our anti-aircraft gunners on Patriot, IRIS-T, NASAMS. Although the training was already external, they returned ahead of schedule," said Ihnat.

Ukraine has already formed lists of those who will go by the first wave.

To recap, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine need 48 F-16 aircraft to protect our state.
