New Delhi:

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly objected to the absence of chief ministers of eight states from the NITI Aayog meeting. At a press conference organised by the party, senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said the chief ministers who have been absent from the NITI Aayog meeting are "irresponsible" and "anti-people". In this meeting of NITI Aayog, PM Modi discussed issues related to health, skill development, women empowerment and infrastructure development with the aim of making India a developed nation by 2047.

More than 100 issues were raised for the meeting.

Ravi Shankar Prasad said in the press conference that the meeting of the Policy Commission is very important for the development of the country. In this meeting, objectives, framework and road map for the development of the country are prepared. More than 100 issues have been raised for the eighth meeting of the Niti Aayog, but despite this, the Chief Ministers of eight states did not attend this meeting.

CM Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann and Mamata did not come

The chief ministers who have distanced themselves from the meeting include Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann and Mamata Banerjee. Ravi Shankar Prasad said that why did these Chief Ministers not come to the meeting in which more than 100 issues are to be discussed. If such a large number of chief ministers stay away from such a meeting, then how will they be able to convey the message of the people of their state to the Center.

This is very unfortunate, irresponsible and against the general public. How far will these people go in protest against PM Modi? You (CM who did not attend the meeting) will get many opportunities to oppose PM Modi but why are you harming the people of your state because of this?

Eight chief ministers did not attend the NITI Aayog meeting today. NITI Aayog is very important for the development and plans of the country. 8 issues have been fixed for this meeting, now the Chief Ministers who have not come are not bringing the voice of the people of their state here. How far will you go in opposition to Modi?
