The father of Sergei Naumyuk, the deputy head of the SBU appointed the day before, Anatoly has a valid Russian passport, and this is confirmed by an extract from the Rospassport system.

This was reported by journalists of "Schemes" (project of "Radio Liberty").

The material notes that the Russian passport of Anatoly Naumyuk has not been canceled, and this is evidenced by the absence of a document in the list of invalid passports on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The father of the new deputy head of the SBU also has an individual taxpayer number in Russia. The TIN is tied to the Russian passport of Anatoly Naumyuk. Journalists found out this fact through the website of the Russian Tax Service.

Checking Naumyuk's passport number in the register of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia also confirmed that the document is not on the list of invalid.

Serhiy Naumyuk himself previously confirmed that his father and brother had Russian citizenship, but assured that it was a "forced" decision "for domestic reasons" (relatives lived in Luhansk and received documents in 2015). Naumyuk also claimed that his relatives later allegedly refused Russian passports.

Journalists received an extract from the register "Rospassport", which states that the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation Anatoly Naumyuk was issued in 2015 in the Russian city of Tula. Naumyuk filed an application for citizenship, indicating the basis for "acquiring citizenship of the Russian Federation".

According to the press service of the SBU, before being appointed to work in the special service, Serhiy Naumyuk passed "all the necessary checks," and his relatives are now "waiting for the cancellation of Russian citizenship."

"These documents (brother and father – ed.) were obtained after the occupation of Luhansk in 2014, where both relatives lived. After leaving the temporarily occupied region, they applied for renunciation of Russian citizenship. However, now the authorized bodies of the Russian Federation are deliberately blocking the consideration of relevant applications," the SBU press service said.

They added that today Serhiy Naumyuk's father and brother are legally permanently in the United States. There they are waiting for the abolition of Russian citizenship.

"They oppose the actions of Russia, which started a full-scale war in Ukraine," the SBU said.

Recall that on May 25, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Serhiy Naumyuk as the new deputy head of the SBU. Until now, Naumyuk worked at NABU and participated in the competition for the position of bureau director in 2023.
