Ukrainian singer Maria Yaremchuk for the first time in a five-year break released a new composition.

The actress presented the track "Shield and Sword". With this new material, the singer returns to show business after a long lull. According to Yayaremchuk, all these five years of her absence she worked on new songs.

The artist calls the composition "Shield and Sword" autobiographical:

"This song is five years old. It is figurative and autobiographical. However, the listener can scale the meanings inherent in this song more widely, read it not as a personal story, but as something about the time in which we live. After all, it is about "one love for life." It can be either self-love, or love for one's work, or love for one's native country," Yaremchuk commented.

It should be noted that for the first time after a five-year break, fans saw the performance of Maria Yaremchuk in the final of the international song contest "Eurovision-2023". The artist with rapper OTOY and singer Zlata Dzunka performed a mashup from legendary Ukrainian composers.

As you know, five years ago, Maria Yaremchuk put her singing career on pause. The actress explained her decision by the fact that she has a panic fear of the stage. It also happened that the performer's team had to forcibly bring her to the concert venue.
