Viktor Medvedchuk worked side by side with the fifth service of the FSB of the Russian Federation.

This was stated in a comment to journalist Dmytro Komarov by the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk.

This is a service that works in Ukraine and has been doing this all the time. They had a plan called "Promin", in the case file it is, where Medvedchuk made adjustments with his own hand - how to work and act in Ukraine. We are talking about their deep penetration, further creation of occupation regimes on the territory of Ukraine, and so on. Working on Medvedchuk's case, many other hostile sources were identified.

"We cannot but mention in this case the resident of the "Professor". This is a character who worked in Odessa and lived there. He was a resident, he had other agents in touch who were in other regions of Ukraine, collected information, passed it on to the "Professor", and he passed it on to the enemy," Malyuk said.

Medvedchuk case: details

Viktor Medvedchuk is suspected of treason and violation of the customs of war. In September last year, he was exchanged for 200 Ukrainian prisoners. In Russia, Medvedchuk sometimes makes various pro-Russian statements, commenting on the war in Ukraine. In particular, he proposed to end the war in Ukraine according to the so-called "Korean plan": when part of the state will be given to the Russians.

Recently, "Putin's godfather" Medvedchuk demanded a tribunal over Zelensky.
