Latvian singer Laima Vaikule, who previously commented on why Peskov kissed Pugacheva's hands at Yudashkin's funeral, shared details about Sofia Rotaru's whereabouts.

Vaikule and Rotaru have been friends for years. The Latvian star has repeatedly invited Sofia Mikhailovna to perform at her festival Laima Rendezvous in Jurmala.

As Vaikule admitted in an interview with the program "And Graham Thundered", on the first day of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she called a star friend. Rotaru told a colleague that she was in Ukraine and was running to a bomb shelter:

"The last time I know she was in Kyiv was when they bombed. She says, "I don't know how I survived that moment, how I survived that night." She says: "I had medicine, there was nothing. I ran to the bomb shelter." That's what I know about Sofa," Vaikule said.

Also, the Latvian actress said that then Rotaru went somewhere in the west of Ukraine, but she does not know exactly where.

"I heard that she went either to Lviv... I don't want to lie. I didn't have contact with her anymore. But now I'm going to call her, find out where she is and what's wrong with her," Vaikule said.

Recall that Sofia Rotaru got in touch with fans four days after the start of a full-scale war. The actress wrote in a photoblog that Russian missiles were destroying civilians, children and destroying Ukrainian cities. At the same time, the singer said that she was in Kyiv. Six months after this post, Sofia Mikhailovna said on the day of her 75th birthday that she was then in her native village of Marshyntsi in the Chernivtsi region. It was here that the legend was born and raised.
