In Kyiv, a 54-year-old man sent to a schoolgirl and invited her home.

This was told in the metropolitan police.

The pre-trial investigation established that the man met a 12-year-old girl on a social network. The offender began communicating with her on sexually explicit topics, sent photos and videos of pornographic content. In addition, the man invited the child to his home.

With the forceful support of the TOR patrol police unit, law enforcement officers exposed the defendant red-handed when he lured the child to a meeting. A mobile phone was seized from him confirming correspondence with the minor.

Investigators informed the man of suspicion of committing crimes under Part 2 of Art. 156 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – corruption of minors, part 3 of Art. 156-1 – harassment of a child with sexual intentions Part 2 of Art. 301 – distribution of pornographic images among minors. The maximum penalty is up to eight years in prison.

On Friday, May 26, the court chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention without the possibility of bail. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
