In the Odessa region, a man raped a woman he met on the street.

This was reported by the police of the Odessa region.

Law enforcement officers clarified that the victim filed a statement that a stranger to her, whom she met on the street, lured her to his home, where he beat, raped and took personal belongings and money.

The police found out that the attacker during a conversation with the woman found out that she was looking for a job, and, taking advantage of this, promised to take her allegedly to his company and employ her, but on the way he drove home with her to take some things.

"However, in the house, a man immediately punched the woman several times on the head, threatened her with a knife and raped her. And after that, he beat again and took money, a mobile phone, gold jewelry," the police said in a statement.

The attacker was found and detained, seizing the property of the victim.

The sanction of part 1 of Article 152 (rape) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine entails punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of three to five years, and the sanction of part 4 of Article 187 (robbery) of the same code – from eight to fifteen years with confiscation of property.

Earlier it became known that in Volyn a man raped a child. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison.
