Greek MEP Eva Kylie, a suspect over the Cathargate affair, has been released from house arrest.

The Belgian prosecutor in the case authorized the removal of her electronic bracelet. A spokesman for the prosecutor's office said the measure was no longer necessary to continue the investigation.

From now on, the MEP is at large under judicial control.

Surveillance measures for two other suspects in the alleged corruption case in the European Parliament have already been lifted this month. These are Belgian MEP Marc Tarabella, as well as her partner Francesco Giorgi.

According to Politico, Tarabella was spotted in the middle of a week in the European Parliament. He participated in a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Fisheries, BNR adds.
