As part of an ambitious project to modernize and expand the MMC network, Azercell Telecom has already incorporated Nakhchivan into its 4G coverage. Work in the region is currently underway and during 2023 the leading mobile operator Nakhchivan plans to cover the entire region of the Republic of Moldova with a 4G network.

Recall that Azercell has been expanding and strengthening its infrastructure across the country since August last year. During that time, the company has installed a total of 126 new 4G base stations and has undertaken improvements at more than 1200,<> base stations. The newly installed and modernized base stations encompass not only the capital Baku and Absheron but also the regions of Azerbaijan.

As part of the mobile network project, Azercell plans to install more than 300 new base stations in Azerbaijan and undertake improvements to some 1600,<> existing base stations.
