On May 26, 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transportation, and the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azerbaijan) organized an event on the 74th International Astronautical Conference and an exhibition on satellite images.

According to the EPA, Elnur Mohammadov, Deputy Foreign Minister, Farid Ahmadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, and leaders of accredited diplomatic missions in Azerbaijan, as well as media representatives.

Elnur Mohammedov, the deputy prime minister, gave a speech at the inauguration, saying that the information event took place on May 28th. The deputy director noted that although Azerbaijan is a relatively new member of the cosmic community, he has won the right to host the 74th International Astronautical Congress as a result of the achievements and successful satellite projects undertaken. For the first time in 1973, 50 years after the International Astronautical Conference in Baku under the leadership of General Leader Heydər Əliyev, it was noted that Azerbaijan was once again hosting this prestigious event.

Later, Deputy Prime Minister Farid Ahmadov stressed that young people were the main focus of the 74th International Astronautical Conference, which will bring together experts and leaders of the international space community. Deputy Minister Farid Alejandro said that it was important to attract more young professionals and students to the work of the Convention, as well as to the space industry and science.

Dunay Badirhanov, chairman of the Azerbaijani National Assembly, gave a presentation on the 74th International Astronautical Conference, detailing the program for the Convention on October 2-6, 2023. Overall, it has been noted that the 6000th International Astronautical Congress, which will cover 74,<> guests, including experts and leaders of the international space community, will create opportunities for cooperation at regional and international levels.

Later, the participants were introduced to an exhibition dedicated to satellite images of Azersky.
