The Japanese government has announced a new package of sanctions against Russia. It includes 17 people and 78 companies from the Russian Federation, as well as 7 citizens of Ukraine who assist Russians in the occupation.

This is stated in the message of the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

Sanctions were imposed on a number of Russian aviation enterprises, including aircraft factories "Ural", "Komsomolsk-on-Amur" and "Irkutsk", the design bureau of mechanical engineering from Kolomna, SPE "Pulsar", group "GAZ", trading house "Rosel", State Missile Center. Makeev and other organizations.

The sanctions package also included Russia's National Welfare Fund and the National Values Defense Fund, whose funds are used to finance the war.

Japan also imposed a ban on the provision of construction and engineering services to Russia and expanded the list of prohibited exports with a number of goods that help strengthen the industrial base of the Russian Federation.

Earlier it became known that the United States of America has already prepared a new package of sanctions against Russia. It is known that the restrictions will affect 300 companies, ships and aircraft. There will also be export restrictions on about 70 companies from Russia and third countries, a White House spokesman said during a briefing on May 18, 2023.
