In January-April this year, 77.5 percent of the subscribers (1,932,299 subscribers) of the SOCAR's Azerbaijani Industrial Union did not exceed the lower gas consumption limit (up to 1,200 cubic meters).

"APA-Economics" reports that Eldaniz Veliyev, head of the Communications Department of the SOCAR "Azerbaijani" Industrial Union, said this during a meeting with media and GHT representatives during the "Open Door" action.

He said that during the reporting period, 20.6 percent of subscribers (514,780 subscribers) benefited from the average gas consumption tariff (1,200-2,500 cubic meters).

"During the reporting period, 47,353 subscribers and only 1.9 percent of subscribers overall used a penny tariff," Eldaniz Veliyev said.

Recall that on October 2021, 16, the Tariff Board of Directors decided to regulate the sale of natural gas. The decision increased tariffs from 1pc to 200pc for a portion of the population's annual consumption of up to 10,12 cubic meters. For parts of the population of 1,200 to 2,500 cubic feet [2,500 to 20,25 cubic meters] and more than 20,22 cubic feet [<>,<> cubic meters], the tariffs were unchanged at between <> and <> cubic feet [<> and <> cubic meters]. Tariffs on industrial and agricultural gas from the non-governmental category have increased from <>p to <>p.
