The brother of the judge who made a fatal accident in Kyiv, Dmytro Tandir, works as a lawyer in the Kyiv region. One would assume that the brother would defend Alexei Tandoor in court. But, as Dmitry Tandoor assured, his brother refused his services.

Dmitry Tandoor told TSN.ua that he himself would like to know the details of this accident, but he was not allowed to see his brother. At home, the judge is waiting for his wife and two children.

"My brother has now refused my legal services. He is likely to be defended by other lawyers. We were not allowed to see my brother, inspect the car, or the scene. We asked at least to return his personal belongings that were in the car – house keys, wallet. We were told that this definitely could not and would not be done. They were not allowed to enter the car, they were not allowed to see it either. This is indicated in all procedural documents. Now he has refused my help as a lawyer. He will be represented by other lawyers. Everyone has the right to protection. Then the court will sort it out - if guilty, then guilty," said Dmytro Tandir.

Meanwhile, social networks write that Alexey Tandir distinguished himself by a large number of cases where he exonerated drivers who were tried under 130 Art. (drunk driving).

"In 2018, the judge of the Kyiv-Svyatoshinsky court of the Kiev region Dmitry Usatyi also drunk committed an accident. Guess who closed the proceedings for the absence of an administrative offense? Judge Oleksiy Tandir," reads a post on Automaidan's Facebook page.

We asked the judge's brother: did he really have such cases?

"I'll tell you honestly that I don't follow his work. We rarely communicated on professional topics, so I will not refute or confirm this information," Dmitry Tandir told us.
