A magnitude 6.6 earthquake has been recorded in the Puerto Obaldia region of Panama, the American Geophysical Institute (USGS) said.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km. No tsunami warning was issued after the quake.

At the same time, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported a magnitude 6.7 earthquake in the coast of Colombia. According to the center, the epicenter of the quake was 134 km west of Monteria, a city of about 272,000 inhabitants. The fire was at a depth of 10 km.
