We don't want to compare ourselves to Moldova or Ukraine, we are 2-3 times ahead of Ukraine and Moldova if we are talking about a decent-based approach and performance.

The EPA's Tbilisi correspondent reports that Georgian Prime Minister Iraqi Karibashvili said this at the Qatar Economic Forum.

'Our Ukrainian friends may have different expectations than we do. They have to say this openly that we want to see a second front in Georgia. After Georgia regained its independence, there were plenty of wars, two wars in the 90s, a civil war, and then a war with Russia in 2008. A small country with a population of 4 million and an army of 40,<> was directly at war with Russia."

In response to a question about Georgia's failure to provide military assistance to Ukraine, Karibashvili said that during the war, the Georgian government maintained peace and stability in the country:

"My job and my duty are to protect the national interests of my country and to protect our people," the Prime Minister said.
