The transit tariff for the Ukrainian section of the pipeline, in the direction of Slovakia and Hungary, will be increased by 3.4 euros - to 17 euros per tonne. Thus, the tariff for the transit of oil through the territory of Ukraine will increase by 25 percent.

In 2022-2023, Ukraine has already twice raised the tariff for the transmission of oil through the Druzhba facility through its territory. The first increase was on April 1, 2022, when Ukraine raised the tariff by a third - to 11.5 euros per tonne. From January 1, 2023, the tariff for pumping through the Ukrainian section of the pipeline, in the direction of Slovakia and Hungary, was increased by another 18.3 percent - to 13.6 euros per tonne.

According to the Russian newspaper Kommersant, Ukrainian pipeline operator UkrTransNafta intends to increase the tariff on the transit of Russian oil through its section of Druzhba in two stages - from June 1 - by 25 percent, to 17 euros per tonne, and from August 1 – by another 23.5 percent, to 21 euros per ton.

At the same time, the Ukrainian company will negotiate tariffs directly with oil recipients in Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, who will bear the additional costs of paying for the transit.
