President Samia Suluhu Hassan has made a small change to the Regional Commissioners, appointing the Secretary General of the CCM Youth Union (UVCCM), Kenani Kihongosi as the Chief of Urambo District.

Kihongosi replaces Said Mtanda who has been appointed as the Chief of Mara Region.

Mtanda has replaced Major General Suleiman Mungiya Elder who will be assigned to other duties.

In a statement by the Director of Communications at the State House, Zuhura Yunus released on May 23, 2023, President Samia has also transferred Queen Sendiga to become the Head of Manyara Region, replacing Makongoro Nyerere who has been transferred to Rukwa.
