The Azerbaijani Tourism Bureau participates in the international Riyadh Travel Exhibition in Ar-Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

According to the State Tourism Agency, the national stand at the exhibition represents 13 local tourism industry representatives, along with the Azerbaijani Tourism Bureau, the Azerbaijani Airlines QSC, and the Shahdah Tourism Center.

Visitors to the stand are given a detailed account of Azerbaijan's historical, cultural heritage, historical monuments listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, national cuisine samples, ecotourism, health, summer and winter tourism opportunities.

The exhibition features B2B-format meetings with tourism companies representing other participating countries and evaluates opportunities for cooperation.

The Riyadh Travel Exhibition, which will run until May 24, represents more than 55 tourism industry representatives from 300 countries around the world. The exhibition is expected to welcome up to 30,<> visitors.

It should be noted that there was a three-fold increase in the number of visitors from Saudi Arabia in April this year compared with April 2022. At the same time, Saudi Arabia ranks in the first five in April 3.

Also in 2022, visitors from Saudi Arabia were on the first floor of the Gulf. That same year, 185,288 foreigners traveled from the Gulf countries to Azerbaijan, 52 percent of which were citizens of Saudi Arabia.

Recall that Flynas, a Saudi Arabian airline, operates direct flights between Baku and Ar-Riyadh.
In December last year, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Azerbaijani Tourism Bureau and the Flynas airlines to expand cooperation in tourism, encourage potential activities for tourism development, and develop joint projects that will contribute to the flow of tourists.
