She had a deep cut in the neck, was hit in the head and kicked in the abdomen because the abuser suspected she was pregnant by someone else. The perpetrator has been arrested. In front of our cameras, the woman whose identity we will hide, told about the horror, Nova TV informed.

We'll call the woman Maya. She has two children with the man who tried to kill her. In recent months, he has been threatening her. He was jealous of her after their separation. Last Thursday he came in front of her building.

"He started yelling, 'I'll slaughter you, get down.' I said I wouldn't come and he threatened to go up," she said.

The man went up, but noticed that there were other people on the floor and left to return a little later, when Maya was already alone.

"I heard the front door crashed. I heard footsteps and then saw him in front of me with a knife. He looked around, saw that there was no one and started hitting me. He kicked me in the head and stomach. She said I was pregnant with someone else," the victim said.

The fight lasted ten minutes. Then Maya, in desperation, began to scream that her father was about to appear.

"He got up and started running down the stairs. I looked in the mirror. I saw he cut my cheek. I was bleeding from my nose. I immediately called 112. The doctors said that my life saved 1 cm. If he had cut me 1 centimeters down, he would have affected my carotid artery and I died," she said.

The threats against Maya have been almost daily in recent months. In addition to her, the man was very aggressive towards their 9-year-old daughter, who also insulted and threatened.

"I thought he'd calm down, find a girlfriend. It's been bothering me for a year and five months now. I've been actively complaining to the police since March. Maybe they call him, but they let him go after that. He had threatened to flood me with acid so I couldn't be with anyone else," Maya explained.

The woman is adamant that the violence against her was in fact an outright assassination attempt.

"The police reassured me that he was going to serve years in prison. I have an inner feeling that this will not happen. "I will live in fear," she said. She said she would seek help from NGOs to feel protected as much as possible.
