The Supreme Court has banned the demolition of illegal structures of DDA in East Delhi's Vishwas Nagar for 7 days.

New Delhi:

The Supreme Court has banned the removal of illegal constructions by the DDA in this area for seven days. The court said that people should vacate their houses themselves. However, the Supreme Court has refused to ban DDA vandalism. He said that after March 29, DDA can start the demolition campaign. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to DDA on the question of rehabilitation of people. At the same time, the Supreme Court said that we will hear only the matter of rehabilitation.

In fact, DDA has been carrying out a demolition drive since 8 am today. A petition was filed in the Supreme Court against this. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) told the Supreme Court that the Delhi High Court had dismissed the petition of illegal builders in March. The court said it was not inclined to interfere with the high court's decision, but the DDA should immediately stop its demolition drive so that people vacate the construction themselves.

After a week, the DDA can resume this demolition campaign. The court will only consider the issue of rehabilitation of people. The matter will be heard in July. The petition said that in such a severe heat, people will be made homeless even though they have no option to stay.
